Baby Wait
My fiance and I had our first baby back in March. I had had a complicated pregnancy, and a difficult delivery, that ended in me having to have an emergency c-section. All the stress from the baby and a painfully slow recovery didn’t help with me trying to lose the baby weight, and I actually started to gain a little more. At first, my fiance was really supportive and always tried to make me feel beautiful. Then, he started trying to encourage me to exercise and diet, even signing me up for a gym membership. I barely had time to rest, so there was no way I could make it to the gym. When our baby hit six months, my fiance came to me and said that he wanted out of the relationship. We seemed to be very happy, so I couldn’t understand why he would leave. I demanded an explanation as to why he would leave me and his child. He told me that lately he had found himself completely disgusted by me, and that he had done everything he could to try to get me to lose the weight, but I was just comfortable being a fat ass. He also told me that he had set a deadline of 6 months from me giving birth, for me to start losing the weight. Apparently, he had lived everyday secretly hating how I looked more and more until he finally wanted to call the engagement off.

Looks like you should’ve lost some weight then.
That’s why you get married before you have kids honey.
Married or not, this guy would have still been a douche. She went through a surgery that takes a while to heal. She had to give herself time first to heal before doing anything too active.
No shit. She’s taking care of a newborn and had to have a C section. Did he ever bother to try to take care of the kid so she could take care of herself, or was she expected to get by on two hours of sleep and go to the gym?
At least she’s getting rid of the tool now rather than later before she wasted anymore of her life with him. I’m sure he’ll enjoy making child support payments.
What an asshole. What did he expect? That she’d drop the baby weight in mere weeks? Sorry, but unlike celebrity moms who have the money to hire trainers to help them lose the weight, and nannies to care for their children, the majority of women need longer than six months to lose the weight.
He should have been more concerned about her recovery from the c-section, and bonding with his child, rather than her looks.
Nobody wants a fat ass. The only people who will take those leftovers are ugly or have prison records or are poor.
Wow. Im guessing ppl who really take the guys side, either haven’t had children or they are too stupid to properly care for a child. Its not rocket science, pregnancy equals rapid changes in the body; and if the pregnancy isn’t “normal” is much harder.

Either that or you prefer to drop your kids off at the nearest trailor park day care so you go work out with your BFF.
Baby weight- I have a new born too and it wasnt easy on me either, expecailly since she was my third. Pregnancy blows, it should be used in some cases as torture (for those who think they know) but the ending product is worth it. Keep your head up!

I hate when females have like a 9 year old and still claim that its baby weight she had plenty of time to show progress…i bet she still tried fitting in those pre-preggo clothes
Why is a guy an asshole just for wanting to be physically attracted to his fiance? Think about it – when you get married, you’re essentialy agreeing to have sex with only one person for the next 60+ years, the rest of your life! Given that, isn’t it reasonable to want to be ATTRACTED to that one person? Seriously, if you end up married to someone you aren’t attracted to and don’t want to have sex with, that’s going to put a huge strain on the marriage and may lead to divorce.
I also like how the female commenters above seem to be implying that dumping someone because they gained weight is a purely MALE trait – it isn’t! Women do it to! So get off your damn soapbox.

@ SirNolen you’re an idiot! While I agree it is important to be attracted to the person you are with, it’s highly unrealistic to expect someone to be back in their pre-pregnancy jeans within weeks (even longer with surgery.
Clearly the guy shouldn’t be a parent. Too bad they can’t tie HIS tubes while they’re doing the C-section.
